The visual, sensing, sequential, and active styles correspond to option “a” of the questions of the Felder instrument according to dimension (domain), while the verbal, intuitive, global, and reflective styles correspond to option “b”. The learning style (category) is determined as the difference between values for each option. The “balanced” category was defined when the value was between − 1 and 1 [30]
