  1. Medical students with a CGPA of 3.25 or more (74.3%) had a significantly higher competence score than those with a CGPA of 3.25 (69.5%) (p < 0.001). Those with a CGPA of at least 3.25 also outperformed in six competence areas: performing precordium examination (p = 0.024), interpreting chest X-rays and complete blood count for TB case (p = 0.006), conducting Leopold’s maneuver (p = 0.004), wound suturing (p < 0.001), emergency response for polytrauma (p = 0.006), and performing lumbar puncture (p = 0.007) (Table 5)
