From: An evaluation of cascading mentorship as advocacy training in undergraduate medical education
POPULATION | Second year medical students at UofT enrolled in AMI who provided informed consent to participate in the AMI program. |
INTERVENTION | Weekly 1.5 h peer mentorship, 2 h monthly discussions with psychiatry and adolescent medicine residents, and 1 h monthly large group teaching sessions. |
COMPARISON | Pre-exposure knowledge of youth mental and physical health topics and confidence levels in skills vs. post-exposure knowledge and skill levels. |
OUTCOME | Unique experiential learning opportunity to gain advocacy skills. |
