The Indiana University statewide system of medical education. There are eight regional basic science campuses located outside the main campus at Indianapolis, where all students receive their clinical training. Half of the matriculating students complete their first two years of medical school at one of the regional campuses, and then transfer to Indianapolis for their final two years. The other half completes all four years at Indianapolis. The dark lines denote the campus regions used in this study.
